Since the software is licensed for your company, your employees can use ProtaStructure simultaneously provided that the number of purchased license seats are not exceeded.

No. ProtaDetails and ProtaSteel are included in the ProtaStructure Enterprise package, the most commonly used package worldwide. These modules are installed together with ProtaStructure and work with the same software activation code.

Yes. ProtaDetails could be purchased separately as a standalone package. Structural Engineers and CAD Technicians usually prefer to invest in ProtaDetails as a standalone package.

ProtaSteel could also be purchased as a standalone package. However, ProtaSteel can import models designed in ProtaStructure only. Therefore, offices designing connection design and detailing invest in ProtaStructure Enterprise package which includes all modules of Prota Software.

When you launch ProtaStructure Suite, an activation screen will welcome you. Follow the steps below for activating your product:

  • Make sure that the computer on which you will use ProtaStructure Suite is connected to the internet.
  • Select the product that applies to you. This is the product you have purchased from Prota. Select Trial or Student product if you are using Trial or Student version.
  • Select ‘Online Activation’ method.
  • Enter the ‘Activation Code’ that you receive from Prota.
  • Click on the ‘Activate’ button.

You can evaluate ProtaStructure for 30-days. During your evaluation , we are available to help you to make the most of your trial experience by answering your questions and conducting live online demos. Our team looks forward to assisting you!

No, educational or trial licenses cannot be used in any commercial situations including project design or training.

Providing first class support is vital to ensure you get the most out of your investment with Prota. With the introduction of ProtaStructure 2019 we have significantly enhanced our post-sales customer experience with our new Prota Help Center. Our Prota Help Center is at your disposal 24/7 with a significantly enhanced user-experience.

This provides a much more interactive support experience from online videos to community forums to get the latest information on Prota’s products and services when you need it. Prota Help Center provides:

Prota Help Center has been designed specifically for ProtaStructure users. ProtaStructure users need to log-in to the system with their credentials. The system is closed for everybody except licensed users of ProtaStructure with an ongoing, valid maintenance contract.

Prota Maintenance Plan includes entitlement for one named contact (provided that he or she is registered employee of your company) to receive Technical Support and provides many benefits, including:

  • Free updates for 12 months from the purchase date of your product (Or as enumerated in the order form)
  • Access to our team of experienced engineers
  • Access to our online resources available 24 x 7
  • Submit unlimited support requests for 12 months

Prota Maintenance Plan will begin from the date of purchase and will continue until the last date as enumerated in the order form. The agreement will renew automatically on each anniversary for a period of one (1) year as early as 90 days prior to expiration.

If you do not renew your licence before it expires, you continue to have the right to use your licensed software, but potentially lose access to the following benefits:

  • New releases of your software
  • Product enhancements
  • 24/7 Technical Support
  • Operating System: 64-bit versions of Windows 10 and above.
  • At least 1 GB free disk space and 8 GB physical memory (RAM)
  • A CPU with multi-core support is recommended
  • A screen resolution of 1280x720 pixels and higher is required
  • A dedicated graphics card supporting OpenGL and DirectX with min 1 GB of video memory is required (Since ProtaStructure and ProtaDetails make use of latest graphical visualization techniques)

No. Once you activate your product, you don’t need to have internet connectivity while you are using it. After initial online activation, the license will be reserved for your computer for a certain period every time you launch your software. During this period, since the license is exclusively checked out for your computer and you can not use your license on another computer. If you have more than one seat of license, you can activate them on different computers.
