Software and Hardware Requirements

We have compiled a list of the questions we are most commonly asked by our clients, and published them along with their answers here. We hope this will help to answer some of the questions you might have.

What are the hardware requirements to run ProtaStructure and ProtaDetails?

Since ProtaStructure and ProtaDetails make use of latest graphical visualization techniques, a dedicated graphics card supporting OpenGL and DirectX is recommended for better performance.

Our software can run both on 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows 8 and 10. At least 1GB free disk space and 4GB RAM is needed. A CPU with multi-core support is also recommended, for example an I5 or I7 processor.

A screen resolution of 1280x720 pixels and higher is required. We recommend an HD screen (1920x1080) for the best user experience.

Are ProtaStructure and ProtaDetails separate products?

Yes, ProtaStructure and ProtaDetails are separate products although every license of ProtaStructure comes together with a license of ProtaDetails when acquired as ProtaStructure Suite Enterprise or ProtaStructure Suite Professional

What licensing configurations do Prota support?

Prota delivers live updates with automatic downloads from the web. Simply connect to the internet and keep updated with the latest development from ProtaSoftware. Software installation can be downloaded from our support services portal here.
